"Made in Italy": the meaning and issues behind being global, and how to safeguard the brand

Foodstuffs, clothing, automobiles, furnishings…these are just some of the many areas where Italy has been the originator of, and associated with, quality products focused on close attention to detail, creative design and reliability.
A "Made in Italy" product is a guarantee of quality.
When can a product be classified as "Made in Italy"? The Community Customs Code states that goods are considered as originating from any country where the final work operations have been carried out, even if this involves the simple assembly of parts manufactured abroad. In 2009, the Italian government took measures to provide additional safeguards for products manufactured in Italy. However, it did not manage to completely settle the issue.

“Made in Italy" wheels to get food products ‘on the move’

The main "Made in Italy" sector is undoubtedly the food industry: pasta, pizza, hams, cheeses, wines, sweets and desserts produced in Italy are recognised worldwide for their originality and quality.
To safeguard consumer health and safety, food products must be produced in environments subject to the strictest standards of hygiene where equipment undergoes frequent washing and sterilisation operations
.

This is why Tellure Rôta offers a specific product range, specially designed to cater to the varying needs of food producers:

- Wheels made of materials extremely resistant to high temperatures,

- Wheels designed to facilitate washing and cleaning,

- Wheels with specially designed coupling between the inner core and outer tread to avoid any potential detachment when in contact with chemical agents or humidity

- Brackets in AISI 304 stainless steel; rust-free regardless of the intensity of washing and cleaning operations.
